Lucky is now a $50 dog who has had his first vet visit. He is 8-10 weeks old, weighs 14 pounds, is mostly terrier with possibly some beagle thrown into the mix, and rode in the car like he'd been doing it his whole life. *smirk*
She's hooked.
The vet took one look at his feet and said, "You realize he's going to get...a lot bigger?"
Let's say puppies grow at a linear rate. If he's 14 lbs at 8 weeks and if puppies become full-grown dogs at 9 months of age...he'd be roughly 70 lbs by the time he's full grown. That is in airedale range, I believe.
I know that's off, but I tried to get my mother to see reason one more time before I go home tonight and get converted to the cult of the Cute Fuzzy Face myself.
I've also had a coworker ask me if I would like to take her cat. 2 years old, spayed, very mild-mannered, litter-trained and not picky, doesn't eat much. Female named Cricket. I...just...can't. She's very cute, and very adorable, and I know for a fact that if I ever met her in the person (as it were), Cute Fuzzy Face Syndrome would make me unable to resist her. So I must not meet her. Taz needs to be the alpha cat. He's enjoying his status.
My coworker is moving and the cat cannot go with her. I'm trying to find someone I know locally who can/is willing to take the kitty.
