I went to lunch at a local place that doesn't mind people sitting around after they finish eating while working on a computer. I've seen others in there doing the same thing, so I figured "What the hell?"
Got 1768 more words, more or less.
Overall, I'm pleased with how it's going, although it well and truly sucks in the prose department. I'm working on getting it finished rather than perfect. Editing. That's when I'll fix it. Editing.
I'm allowed to suck. I'm allowed to suck. I'm allowed to suck. Repetio ad nauseam.
I'm just at the part where the big "exposition dump" is going to be. That should be fun to edit, later. :)
If you're wondering why I keep going on about it, it's for two reasons. By telling you, I'm committing myself to making progress because at least one or two of you are bound to ask me "How's it going?" if I stop. Somewhat less importantly, it's because I've gotten into a habit of not writing, so when I do write, I want to make a big deal out of it so I can pat myself on the back about it. :)
I also find it difficult to write when there are distractions around. Like the Internet, DVDs, games, my bed, IM, TIM, etc. So I've been doing it where I don't have those. Like at work (where the writing is the distraction), at the Honda dealership, and now at Loco's Grill and Deli.
