Notes:
- W00t! That's all. Just w00t! :)
- Since this story involves time travel, when I don't know what to write, I just write something that happened in my characters' pasts, and will move stuff around to where it goes later. Or not. Maybe my random sampling is avant-garde and trend-setting. You know, just like Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five. :)
- But yes, there is a plot arc, and the characters have arcs, too. They're just not in sequence. :)
- I've written a scene where my "hero" character is in his 30s, one where he's 8, and one where he's 5. Roughly in that order. The next one will be from when he was 19.
- My favorite bit I wrote today was from the "5-year-old" scene. His father doesn't censor himself around young Gerald, so he tends to hear words he doesn't know the meaning of.
He wondered what ‘motherfucker’ meant. He’d have to ask his mom. Or maybe his kindergarten teacher. She seemed to know an awful lot of words, and his mother usually said, “It’s a word you’re too young to understand,” anyway.
I almost want to write that scene.
