Notes:
  • Decided to deliberately throw myself a curve ball today. I had planned out how each scene was supposed to go, but my characters needed to be shaken up. So I changed things up and had one of them call another's bluff, and do something totally different than I had originally planned.

  • I am now writing a scene that stems from an idea I came up with the other day. Basically, one time traveller is going to run into her dead husband in the past. Before he was dead.

  • Interestingly enough, I'm changing the entire reason the time travelers are poking my hero character's life with a stick. They're not trying to kill him--they can't. It would cause paradoxes. They're trying to change his character by making horrible stuff happening to him, or by preventing those terrible things and/or ameliorating the consequences if they can't be prevented.

  • My favorite sentences from today's scenes:
He pressed the button on his key fob that would unlock the door.

The car didn't explode. Not that he'd been expecting it to, of course. Maybe if he kept saying it to himself, he might start to believe it.
