I'm charting my daily progress on
NaNoWriMo. Since you may or may not care, I'll kindly hide it behind
a cut. Thanks for taking the time. :)

Notes:- Yay! This one came out to be 2204 words, which is right at the average I figured they'd all be.
- "G Is for Gravesite" came from a single image. A father and son standing at the grave of their beloved mother/grandmother, respectively. They begin walking away, and the son looks up at his father and says, "What kind of tree is she, Dad?" That was it. I tried for weeks to make something out of it, and failed. I hoped that inspiration would strike when I needed it. And it did. It all fell into place when I realized they were dryads.
- Finished this one, too. I really like how this one came out, although it could stand some tweaking. I think I either left too much unexplained or explained too much. Or both.
- I feel certain I drew on some source for this, but I can't pinpoint what it might be. I mean other than the blindingly obvious Greek mythology thing.
- My wrists hurt a little bit, tonight.
- Since I completed Gravesite, I worked a bit more on Anchor & Bard. Didn't finish either of those, either, but added a couple of scenes to both.
- Character names: Greg Drew, his 13-year-old son George, and 15-year-old daughter Grace. Oh, and the corpse of their recently deceased mother/grandmother, Olive Penn Drew.
- Interesting things I had to look up: dryads, which is where I found out their association with the goddess Artemis; how the Greeks may have worshipped Artemis; trees indigenous to Georgia and their scientific names (for instance, the green ash is in the Olive family and is Praximus pennsylvanica (See what I did, there?)); how burial vaults and coffins work; embalming.
- Genre: Fantasy
This table shows each story and how many words I have written on it, regardless of the daily count. Titles or letters in red ("tomato") are ones where I'm not sure, yet, what the story will be.
