Notes:

• And, DONE. I'm calling it at 11:00 pm rather than midnight. At this point, I'm doing the literary equivalent of pushing the English peas around on my plate so it's harder to tell I haven't eaten any of them.


• "F Is for Fangs that Get Sunk in Your Leg" is now complete at 12,246 words. I had been putting off writing the end because I wasn't sure how to get there from where I was, but tonight I just shoved and something gave.


• Of the unfinished stories, the ends are clear and near in Bard, Oath, Quest, Waste, and Zombie. The ends are clear but a way off in Investigation (which is turning into a novella; I can feel it), Moons, and Xenolith. The ends are over the horizon and very fuzzy on Anchor, Skullcosm, and Vanish. Those are, oddly enough, the three I went into the day writing with absolutely no idea of a plot, but only a concept that sounded like it should have a plot.


• Last night, when I stopped writing on Zombie, I was in the middle of a sentence. Today, I have no idea what the second half of that sentence was, or where to take the scene. He's just revealed himself to his potential girlfriend who thought he was dead, and who attacked him with mace and threatened him with a gun. Then she dissolved into tears on his shoulder and . . . Nothing. Not a clue. I know what has to come next, but I don't see a path from them at the kitchen table to them in the lab where he used to work, but now has no access to because of being very dead. Well, formerly dead. Undead. Sort of.


• Unfinished stories: Anchor, Bard, Investigation, Moons, Oath, Quest, Skullcosm, Vanish, Waste, Xenolith, and Zombie.


• Today I worked on: Oath, Fangs.


• Interesting things I had to look up: Nothing. It was all just shoving words around on my plate. :)
