Project working title: ...And Promises to Keep
New words: 3422
Current total words: 3422
Goal: < 5000

As before, I know it's cheating to just use the finished number of words as your goal. Deal. :)

Reason for stopping: Finished.

Notes:
  1. My check was cashed for the writers workshop at Dragon*Con on the 28th and 29th of August, so I presume that means I'm in. A submission for Ms. Crispin is not mandatory, but if one is sent, it has to be out by August 1. So tonight, I buckled down and got the vampire story I had gotten recent critique on and polished it up. It went from 1800 words to 3400. I added a lot more stuff in, including many (but not all) of the suggestions made by my writing group. I did not show the search process for the vampire, because I don't feel it to be a legitimate part of the story I want to tell.

  2. Playing with the stereotypical vampire legends, however, was, as it turns out. :) It was fun setting them all up and then subverting them.

  3. I shall mail this out first thing tomorrow, and hope that Ms. Crispin doesn't rip it apart too badly. I wrote and edited on it for about five hours, tonight, so it's as clean as I'm going to get it. They say a story is never finished, it just gets submitted.
