It depends on frame of mind when I say it. "what the fuck" is normal "what the frak" when in a scifi mood "what the hell" when normal people are around
FTW is "for the win." Which implies that the referent is awesome. As in, "fresh chocolate chip cookies FTW!" which would probably mean the speaker just received some fresh cookies and is pleased by this turn of events.
See also: "made of win," "fail," "made of fail," and "for the lose."
Also, if your mom and/or dad has email and use LOL, ask them what they think it means. Apparently, a lot of older people think it stands for "lots of love."
I've caught my mother using it in really inappropriate situations because she had the meaning wrong. Of course, the person she was sending to probably also had the same misunderstanding, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. :)
FTW can also mean "fuck the world" but its rarely used that way online. In reply to the LOL comment below I actually got an email dealing with a friends death that had LOL at the closing because they thought it meant "lots of love" The sender was quite shocked when I replied the real meaning and asked them to google said terms.
Honestly I did not get into the original Battlestar. Since B5 is my favorite scifi show I wish they made a few of their own curse words, would be interesting to see if people would use them in common dialog like they use frak now.
"You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe."

Weird, I know, since normally I'd say "what the fuck?"
