Can you think of a fictional or real account of anyone putting evidence of crimes into geocache locations? You know, for "taunting" purposes....

Can't think of any, but it's not hard to envision. A remote, shadowed location would be a fine place to dump evidence if, say, you wanted to divert an investigator through several traumatic locations. A geocache location, unpublicized, could also be a fine place to drop things you don't want discovered, like a murder weapon, or a dead body, or even a live body with a short air supply.

I also had the wild idea of using the geocache location as PART of the crime—delivering bribes, for instance. How many geocache sites have Rolex watches in them?

I thought about a diamond ring being found on a finger before, and they'd have to use the serial number to trace the owner

No, but I LOVE this idea

For all their pop culture references, I don't think CSI Vegas/Miami/NY/Boise have done it yet.
