I just realized that as of yesterday (11/21/2010), every word I write on this story for NaNoWriMo will break the record for the most number of words I ever wrote for one contiguous writing project.

I say "contiguous project" because I've written hundreds of thousands of words for LiveJournal, but it's not one story. :)

The previous record was 53250 for 2009's novel Death Scene, which is the second novel in a series of urban fantasy novels I'm working on. The first novel, Perdition's Flames, only has 35,538 words written.

2008's NaNoWriMo novel, The Third Prophecy, "only" got to 51103, and is perhaps 25% complete.

Congratulations! Every new word a record-breaker--what a heady feeling!

Although I would quibble that your LJ writings are indeed one story...your story. ;) But I understand what you mean.

When you said "Guinness" I was thinking in a completely different direction. :)
