Notes:- Wrists didn't hurt at all today.
- "M Is for Moons" is incomplete. It could have been complete, but . . . I was just not feeling it, today. I got up around 9:30, then had to read a story for critique later in the day, went to do that, got back and wrote for a while, then played around in YouTube for a while . . . then got into a long conversation with an old friend I haven't talked to in a while. I'm not even stressed about not getting out more words. I have no idea where I'm headed with the story, and I was just rambling anyway.
- The idea for Moons came from quite a while back when I wanted to write a werewolf story, but I didn't want it to be a traditional one. "How can I make a werewolf story fresh?" I asked myself. "By setting it in space," was the answer. Mars has two moons, see . . .
- I had written a tiny piece of this a while back, but abandoned it when it was clear that I had no idea where I was going with it. I rewrote the beginning with the investigator also being a werewolf, having to investigate a werewolf killing (on Mars) without blowing his own cover at the same time.
- I have no clue what N is for. None. Nada. I am without clue. Clues are not my bag, baby! If I were to draw a diagram showing me and my relationship with a clue of what N is for, I would be on one sheet of paper and the clue would not exist because I don't fucking have one. At all. Also: No clue.
- None.
- What. So. Ever.
- Character names: Wil Michaels, Frank Mitchell. Several other characters whose last names will begin with M. Just to mix things up.
- Interesting things I had to look up: Mars, its moons, and how they orbit; how the military makes use of its chaplains; werewolves; mining; forensics.
- Genre: Werewolves on Mars. What would you call that, Science Fantasy? Slipstream?
- no clue
This table shows each story and how many words I have written on it, regardless of the daily count. Titles or letters in red ("tomato") are ones where I'm not sure, yet, what the story will be.
