NaNoWriMo Progress, Day 22

Notes:

• A very bad day, writing-wise. Got up and had nothing. Took a shower and still had nothing. Went to work and on the drive there, still had nothing. Had a lot of stuff to catch up on thanks to my not being there yesterday, so I didn't come up for air until 1:30, at which point I left the office for lunch at my favorite Mexican place. Still had nothing. Got to El Azteca with a big ol' heapin' plate of nothin'. Finally, about the time they delivered my carnitas, "Vanish" came to me, and I jotted a few notes. I ate my lunch, then spent about a half hour typing the first part of the story. When I got back to work, it was a lot more catching up from not being there yesterday and no one being there tomorrow, and then I had to leave for my Tuesday night critique group with only a few words over 900 written. I got home and just had time to write about 1000 more words before midnight.


• "V Is for Vanish" is very incomplete. It is about a superhero. Or maybe a supervillain. Or . . . maybe it's about a more realistic situation where the person doesn't go all the way one way or the other, but can be situationally pretty good or pretty bad. Kind of like real people. But with the ability to Vanish.


• I may or may not type more after I post this. I'd like to get an early start on tomorrow, considering there's a fourish-hour-drive looming tomorrow night. Ugh. Tomorrow better be a light work day. :)


• Character names: Tony Rogers (Vanish), his sister Jeanette and his best friend Jerry (Hmm. I just noticed the J-names. I'll have to change one of them). I decided that his super{hero|villain} name would be Vanish, so he didn't have to be Victor or Vernon or Van. But who knows, I may change that later.


• Interesting things I had to look up: Nothing.
