I'm charting my daily progress on
NaNoWriMo. Since you may or may not care, I'll kindly hide it behind
a cut. Thanks for taking the time. :)

Notes:- Again, being in someone else's house . . . I didn't get to write much. The story is just getting started where I had to leave it and make chocolate pudding cake.
- I've wanted Z to be a zombie story from the get-go, but a different sort of zombie than the traditional horror-movie zombie, either the slow, shambling ones or the fast, deadly ones. These are altogether different, or at least to me. There's probably 1000 stories out there with a similar setup, but since I don't read the zombie genre, I have no idea. :)
- "Z Is for Zombie" is incomplete at 2303 words. I've just introduced zombiism to the world and am writing the scene where the main character—the "zombie"—is trying to figure out a way to get out of the morgue, where he has just awakened and has no idea how he got there or how long it's been.
- Technically, I could "stop" because I've "completed" my "project" of "writing" 26 "short" "stories." If only they were all done, I suppose I could. Now I have four days to go back and write more stuff on the ones I didn't finish so I can try to get them to a finished state. And to catch up from my DISMAL word-counts for the days I've been visiting my mother. And I won't get much written tomorrow because we're driving back. That leaves Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to try to finish as many of the unfinished stories as I can.
- Unfinished stories: Anchor, Bard, Fangs, Haunted, Investigation, Moons, Oath, Quest, Skullcosm, Vanish, Waste, Xenolith, Yesterday, Zombie. I'll probably start from Z and work my way backwards, since those are more fresh in my head.
- Character names: Well, you know it had to be Zach. :)
- Interesting things I had to look up: How morgues work, nanotechnology, the human genome project, whether mice have an appendix.
This table shows each story and how many words I have written on it, regardless of the daily count. Titles or letters in red ("tomato") are ones where I'm not sure, yet, what the story will be.
