I'm charting my daily progress on NaNoWriMo. Since you may or may not care, I'll kindly hide it behind a cut. Thanks for taking the time. :)

Notes:

• Wrote a lot on Zombie, since it's the "freshest" one in my head. Get it? Fresh? Zombies? I slay me.


• "Z Is for Zombie" is nowhere near complete at 6827 words. My main character has just revealed his nature to coworker Hannah who was on her way to becoming his girlfriend before his untimely death.


• I "verified" tonight, which means that I compiled all my words for the month and pasted them into a dialog box on the NaNoWriMo site and submitted them for word-count verification. So now my count is official and I'm an official winner. Officially. It said I had a couple of thousand words less than Scrivener says, but I wasn't careful about putting spaces around dashes and ellipses, so it's possible that the NaNoWriMo site counts "one—two" and "one…two" as one word each. This could easily account for a couple of thousand words. I like dashes and ellipses. :) I already ordered a winner t-shirt.


• My rationale for how zombies work completely and utterly ignores epigenetics, and it does so with eyes fully and widely open, staring at you, daring you to point out its error. So there.


• Unfinished stories: Anchor, Bard, Fangs, Haunted, Investigation, Moons, Oath, Quest, Skullcosm, Vanish, Waste, Xenolith, and Zombie.


• Today I worked on: Zombie


• Interesting things I had to look up: How motorcycles work . . . and how to steal one, pepper spray, mace, how to get a fake ID. Once again, I hope the FBI isn't watching my searches. :)
